Behind the Rigs: Wilson Mining’s Full Talk Is Now Online

We had a great turnout for the Lunch & Learn event with the Wilson Mining team, and for good reason. It was one of our most informative—and down-to-earth—sessions yet.

The presentation started with a solid intro to Bitcoin mining basics, but quickly moved into real-world insights from the Wilson crew. They shared how they got started mining here in the Midwest and what it’s been like growing into a full-scale operation. You could tell these guys have been in the trenches and learned a lot the hard way.

One highlight that really got people leaning in: their perspective on the practical differences between popular mining hardware. And without giving too much away, the way they explained hashcost vs hashrate really helped make sense of some of the numbers we hear tossed around.

They also teased something big—Wilson Mining is working with Block on an upcoming open-source ASIC. That alone is worth tuning in for.
